Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire
Salary: £31,500 – £33,500 per annum
Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week
Working pattern: Predominantly office-based
Holiday: 32 days, increasing to 37 days after five years, plus 3 additional days during the Christmas closure
Pension: 6% matched contribution
  
The role
This is a varied position combining systems support, data administration, user training, process improvement and apprenticeship funding/invoicing.

You''ll act as an important link between end users and technical teams, providing first-line support and turning operational requirements into practical system improvements. You''ll also supervise a Student Data Systems Administrator and play a key role in ensuring apprenticeship financial and funding data is accurate and compliant.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting, maintaining and administering learner systems, including apprenticeship tracking systems and ProMonitor
• Managing first-line support requests and escalating technical issues where appropriate
• Troubleshooting system and data issues and keeping users informed of progress
• Training colleagues and developing user guidance and training materials
• Gathering user feedback and recommending improvements to systems and processes
• Translating business requirements into system specifications
• Working with software suppliers and IT teams to resolve issues
• Supervising a Student Data Systems Administrator

  
What do you need?

• Experience supporting or administering systems
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Experience training users and producing training materials where appropriate
• At least Level 2/GCSE grade 4 (C) or equivalent in English and maths
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
• The ability to communicate technical information clearly to different audiences
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied workload with minimal supervision
