Based in York, the Student Check-in Runner position with Pertemps Leeds supports arrivals across various Unite Students accommodation sites. This temporary contract pays £13.58 per hour and runs on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September 2026. Shifts typically fall between 09:00 and 21:00, requiring flexibility. Working alongside Unite’s team, you will greet students and families, guide them through buildings, assist with luggage, and answer general queries to ensure a smooth check-in process. The Role
Every September, thousands of students arrive in Leeds to begin university life. As a Check-In Runner, you'll play an important role in creating a fantastic first impression by helping students and their families move into their new accommodation.
Working alongside the Unite Students team, you'll assist with arrivals, direct students around the building, help transport luggage, answer general questions and ensure the check-in process runs smoothly. This is an active, customer-facing role that is ideal for friendly, energetic individuals who enjoy helping others.
Previous experience in this role is not necessary, as long as you have a friendly, approachable-attitude, with customer facing experience – you’ll do great in this role!
