Structures Manager - Highways and Infrastructure Location: Bristol Area - Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office Rate: Up to £60 per hour Contract: Initial 6 months Hours: Full-timeCarrington West is supporting a major organisation with the appointment of an experienced Structures Manager to lead the management, maintenance and strategic development of a diverse highway structures and infrastructure asset portfolio.This is a senior contract position with responsibility for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, road restraint systems and geotechnical assets, combining technical leadership with strategic asset management and significant capital programme responsibility.Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of senior engineers, engineers and technicians. Manage inspection, maintenance and improvement programmes across highway and open space structures. Provide expert technical advice on complex infrastructure, highways and development projects. Lead strategic structures asset management and lifecycle planning. Ensure structures assets comply with relevant national standards, codes of practice and health and safety requirements. Develop and deliver capital and revenue programmes, with responsibility for structures capital budgets of up to £3m per annum. Contribute to wider infrastructure investment programmes valued at over £150m. Manage contractors, consultants and external stakeholders across routine and complex projects.
