Typical duties include: - Reading and interpreting engineering drawings. - Measuring, marking out and cutting steel plate. - Using tools and machinery such as burners, grinders, drills, guillotines and plate machines. - Forming and bending plate to the required shape. - Setting up components and using tack welding to hold them in position. - Checking dimensions, angles, levels and alignment. - Fitting plates, stiffeners, brackets, frames and other components. - Preparing work for welders or carrying out welding if qualified. - Correcting distortion and ensuring the finished fabrication meets specifications. - Please apply with your CV in the first instance to (url removed) Barker Ross Group values diversity and promotes equality.
