About the Role

This position is for a Structural Fabricator based in Brierley Hill, working full time on a temp to perm contract at £17.50 per hour. You will fabricate structural steel components from engineering drawings, undertaking measuring, marking out, cutting, and assembling steel sections. The role involves working with beams, frames, columns, and bespoke structures within a busy workshop. Two shift patterns are available: a day shift from 7am to 3pm, or an afternoon shift from 2pm to 10:30pm Monday to Thursday, finishing at 7pm on Friday. This role requires proven experience in structural fabrication and the ability to read technical drawings.

Pay Rate
£17.50 per hour
Shift Options
Day Shift:

Monday to Friday
7am – 3pm

Afternoon / Late Shift:

Monday to Thursday: 2pm – 10:30pm
Friday: 1pm – 7pm

The Role

Fabricating structural steel components from engineering drawings
Measuring, marking out, cutting and assembling steel sections
Working with beams, frames, columns and bespoke fabrications
Using a range of fabrication tools and workshop equipment
Tack welding where required
Carrying out quality checks to ensure accuracy and finish standards
Working to production deadlines in a busy fabrication environment
Maintaining a clean and safe workspace at all times

Requirements

Previous experience as a Structural Fabricator, Steel Fabricator or similar role
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience working with structural steel or heavy fabrication
Competent with fabrication tools and workshop processes
Strong attention to detail and quality
Reliable, punctual and a strong team player
