Structural Engineer Full Time £100,000 to £120,000 + Hybrid Permanent Southend We are launching a new structural engineering division within a fast growing, design-led property and architecture group.You will work directly with architects, clients, and contractors on live residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects from day one. The Opportunity: Build a structural engineering function from scratchShape technical standards, workflows, and delivery approachWork closely with an established architectural practice with immediate project pipelineProgress into a future leadership role (Head of Structural Engineering)Influence pricing, service offering, and team growth What You Will Do: Lead structural design from concept through to constructionProduce calculations, drawings, and specificationsWork closely with architects on integrated, buildable design solutionsManage multiple live projects simultaneouslyLiaise with contractors, consultants, and clientsHelp define systems and quality standards for the new divisionSupport early-stage business development as the service grows Essential Skills: A minimum of 4 years of UK-based experience as a Structural EngineerChartered Structural Engineer (MIStructE or CEng) or near chartership with clear timelineUK project experience in residential and commercial sectorsStrong understanding of UK building regulations and standardsConfident working independently in a fast-moving environmentStrong communication skills with architects, ..... full job details .....
