About the Role
A Structural Engineer is sought to join a design-focused consultancy in Central London. This permanent role offers a salary between £30,000 and £40,000 per annum. The successful candidate will contribute to residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects, working collaboratively within a team to deliver structural solutions from concept to construction. Key responsibilities include assisting with structural analysis and design, coordinating with project teams, and supporting project progression through all design stages. This position provides direct exposure to varied assignments, working alongside experienced engineers to develop professional skills.

This is an opportunity to join a well-established structural engineering practice delivering high-quality projects across the residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors. You will work as part of a collaborative team, contributing to thoughtful and efficient structural solutions from concept through to construction.
Working closely with experienced engineers, you will gain exposure to a wide variety of projects and play an active role in the delivery of structural designs, coordination with project teams, and the successful progression of projects through all design stages.
Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with structural analysis and design for building projects.
- Support the preparation of structural calculations, drawings, and technical reports.
- Contribute to the development of design solutions under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Work with architects and other consultants as part of the design team.
- Attend site visits and project meetings where appropriate.
- Assist with reviewing drawings and project information.
- Ensure work is carried out in line with relevant standards and project requirements.
Requirements
- MEng Civil or Structural Engineering (minimum 2:1), or BEng Civil/Structural Engineering (minimum 2:1) with relevant industry experience such as a placement year or internship.
- Interest in pursuing a career in structural engineering consultancy.
- Basic understanding of structural engineering principles and common construction materials.
- Familiarity with structural analysis or drafting software is beneficial but not essential.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Right to work in the UK (Visa sponsorship not available).
