First People Solutions is working with a leading consulting engineer, recognised for delivering major design and innovative engineering solutions within complex, high-hazard environments. They operate across sectors such as Power, Life Sciences, Defence, and Aviation. They''re now seeking a Structural Engineer to join their expanding team in Glasgow.

You will be involved in a range of interesting and challenging projects, offering the kind of technical challenges you don''t find at a standard consultancy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing structural elements across a range of projects, particularly in the power and energy sector. (Substations, grid infrastructure, renewable energy facilities, and others).
• Producing drawings, specifications, and reports to industry standards.
• Working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and efficient solutions.
• Checking calculations, drawings, and supplier information for quality and compliance.
• Supporting junior engineers and contributing to strong technical standards

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
• 3-5 years'' experience working in a UK engineering design consultancy
• Experience in the power sector is desirable
• Working towards Chartered or Incorporated status (ICE or IStructE)
• Proficiency in structural analysis software
• Good knowledge of design standards and regulations
