Structural Engineer - Bristol city centre

Salary: 40k - 50k plus bonus, hybrid working (3 days in the office), enhanced holiday & maternity and other benefits

Emtech Recruitment are working with an established and ambitious multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy who are looking for a Structural Engineer or Senior Structural Engineer to join their Bristol team. You''ll work on a diverse range of projects across commercial, retail, leisure, rail and residential, including high-rise and landmark developments. The role is working underneath an Associate Structural Engineer with excellent opportunity to learn and progress in your career.

The Role

• Design and check structures in steel, concrete, masonry and timber.
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, specifications and reports.
• Liaise with clients, architects and other design professionals.
• Attend site visits, surveys and inspections.
• Manage projects, programmes and workloads.
• Supervise and mentor Graduate Engineers and Technicians.
• Contribute to client relationships and new business opportunities.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Strong structural design experience across a range of projects.
• Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and relevant design codes.
• Experience with software such as Tekla Structural Designer, S-Frame, TEDDS, SCIA or CADS.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Experience managing projects and working directly with clients.
• Ideally working towards or Chartered or Incorporated status.
