Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. Based in Cork, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Engineering team as a Structural Engineer, supporting the delivery of our various projects. 

Your day will include:

• Providing structural engineering and technical support to large-scale data centre and pharmaceutical projects across Ireland and Europe.
• Supporting pre-construction activities including design reviews, tender submissions, technical queries and project mobilisation.
• Reviewing structural drawings, specifications and design information to ensure technical compliance and constructability.
• Coordinating structural requirements with civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical and other engineering disciplines.
• Identifying design and constructability issues and developing practical engineering solutions.
• Supporting project teams with technical submissions, RFIs, value engineering and engineering documentation.
• Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Providing ongoing engineering support throughout project delivery, with occasional travel to project sites across Ireland and Europe.

About You

• Degree qualified in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3+ years'' experience in structural engineering, preferably within construction, engineering contracting or consultancy.
• Experience working on large-scale, complex projects; data centre or pharmaceutical experience is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, construction methodologies and buildability.
• Excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving skills with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
