Structural Engineer - Specialist Subcontractor
Location: London-based projects
Salary: Up to -90,000 (depending on experience)

I''m working with a well-established subcontractor operating across complex steel and reinforced concrete projects, who are looking to appoint a Structural Engineer to support both permanent and temporary works design. This is a key hire due to a strong pipeline of secured work across London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design of structural steel systems including steel-to-steel, steel-to-concrete, and new-to-existing steel connections
• Temporary works design (e.g. RMD systems, steel temporary works solutions)
• Reinforcement design for RC elements
• Collaborate with site teams, external consultants, and fabricators to deliver practical and safe solutions
• Attend site visits where required to assess existing structures and monitor implementation

Requirements:

• Degree-qualified Structural Engineer
• Minimum 5 years'' experience working with a subcontractor (steel or RC preferred)
• Proven ability to deliver both temporary and permanent works design
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and practical site conditions
• Proficiency with relevant design software and standards
