Structural Engineer

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join a busy consultancy team. This role offers the chance to take on technical leadership, delivering a diverse portfolio of structural projects across residential and commercial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver structural engineering projects from design to completion
• Undertake site visits and liaise directly with clients, architects, and contractors
• Provide technical leadership within the consultancy
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional development
• Play a key role in the commercial success of projects and the wider business

What You’ll Need

• MEng or BEng in Engineering (Structural preferred; Civil considered with proven structural experience)
• 4 to 5 years’ consultancy experience
• Chartered or working towards chartership with the IStructE
• Strong technical design ability, analysis skills, and excellent written and verbal communication
• Commercial awareness and motivation to take responsibility beyond the typical senior engineer role
• Experience delivering Party Wall Surveys desirable but not essential
• Must be local, or within a commutable distance to the office
• Unrestricted right to live and work in the UK
