Structural Engineer

Our Client is an established, award-winning structural and civil engineering consultancy. Their projects include small domestic alterations, extensions, new builds, Super homes, low-rise building conversions, swimming pools, temporary works design, drainage and civils, in residential, commercial, and institutional sectors, and remedial works design for insurance claims. They are seeking a disciplined and logical Structural Engineer with 2 years post-grad experience designing low-rise UK building structures in masonry, reinforced concrete, timber, and steel, to join our team. Job Role As part of the integrated structural engineering design team, you will attend initial site visits and project design team meetings, and prepare technical documents, including design calculations, drawings, schedules, reports, specifications etc, and coordinate design with the wider design team. This role is particularly suited to capable individuals who wish to drive their careers forward to professional qualification. Key Tasks and Responsibilities • Responsible for the analysis and design of low-rise structures in structural steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry, reporting to Senior Engineer or Project Director • Analysis experience using 3D modelling software such as Tekla Structural Designer • Production of detailed hand calculations • Ability to produce and amend drawings using Autodesk software including AutoCAD and Revit would be an advantage • Experience visiting sites to ..... full job details .....
