Our client, a well-established structural engineering consultancy based on the outskirts of Birmingham, is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their growing team.

This opportunity would suit a degree-qualified engineer with a minimum of five years'' post-graduate experience who is looking to take ownership of projects and work with a high degree of autonomy. The successful candidate will be involved in the design and delivery of a diverse range of projects across the education, healthcare, residential and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertaking structural design and analysis for a variety of building projects
• Designing all principal structural elements in accordance with current UK standards and regulations
• Preparing structural calculations, technical reports and supporting design documentation
• Liaising with clients, architects, contractors and other members of the design team
• Attending site visits and project meetings as required
• Managing workload effectively and delivering projects with minimal supervision

Candidate Requirements

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years'' structural engineering experience gained within the UK
• Demonstrable experience designing all major structural elements
• Proven ability to work independently and confidently manage projects
• Experience across education, healthcare, residential and commercial developments
• Strong knowledge of UK construction methods, Building Regulations and British Standards
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
