Structural CAD Technician

Position: Structural CAD Technician Location: Maidenhead / Henley Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Reports to: Senior Structural Engineer / CAD Manager

Role Overview

They are seeking a Structural CAD Technician to join their structural engineering team. The role involves preparing accurate drawings and models, coordinating with engineers, and supporting the delivery of structural projects across a variety of sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated technician to further develop their skills within a supportive consultancy environment.

• Produce and amend structural engineering drawings using AutoCAD (and Revit where applicable).

• Work closely with engineers to translate design concepts into detailed technical drawings.

• Manage and prioritise multiple drawing packages across different projects simultaneously.

• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with relevant standards and company procedures.

• Coordinate with other disciplines to support integrated project delivery.

• Contribute to maintaining quality and efficiency across project outputs.

• Qualified to HNC level (advantageous, but not essential).

• 2+ years'' relevant experience in a CAD role.

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.

• Keen focus on quality, with the ability to work efficiently within a multi-disciplinary team.

• Capability to manage multiple projects at the same time.

• Some experience of building structures and knowledge of steel, concrete, timber, and load-bearing masonry (advantageous).

• CAD experience in a related sector will also be considered.
