Stress Engineer

Our client, an innovative organisation in the aerospace sector, is seeking a Stress Engineer for a permanent position. The role will involve assessing the structural integrity and performance of aerospace components and systems, supporting safe and efficient design solutions throughout the product lifecycle.

• Performing stress analysis and structural assessments for aerospace components and assemblies
• Applying engineering principles to evaluate loads, stresses, strains and structural performance
• Preparing clear technical reports, calculations and engineering substantiation
• Supporting the design, development and certification of aerospace systems
• Working with design, manufacturing and testing teams to resolve technical issues
• Reviewing engineering drawings, specifications and analysis data
• Contributing to continuous improvement, risk assessment and design optimisation activities
• Ensuring work is completed in line with relevant aerospace standards and quality requirements

• Experience in aerospace stress engineering or a closely related structural engineering discipline
• Strong understanding of stress analysis, structural mechanics and aerospace materials
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and engineering data
• Understanding of static, fatigue and damage tolerance analysis principles
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical report-writing skills
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to engineering quality and safety
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in aerospace, mechanical or structural engineering
