      <description>Location: Eastleigh | Salary: 40000.00-40000.00 Annual | Type: Permanent | OverviewJoin a high-performing engineering team delivering complex, regulated projects across multiple sectors.You''ll take ownership of structural analysis activities-ensuring designs are robust, compliant, and delivered to quality, time, and budget.What you''ll doPerform stress and structural analysis (hand calcs + FEA where needed)Work closely with design engineers to solve real-world engineering problemsProduce and check design substantiation reportsAct as the technical authority for analysis, including subcontractor workInfluence designs early to improve manufacturability, cost, and performanceSupport planning, mentoring, and continuous improvement of analysis methodsWhat we''re looking forStrong experience in stress analysis and hand calculations (Mathcad)Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. Eurocodes / lifting or structural codes)Background in a highly regulated environment (nuclear, defence, etc.)Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, Nastran or similar)Ability to interrogate designs and define load cases (static, dynamic, fatigue)Confident communicator, able to justify analysis to stakeholders</description>
