Street Lighting Operative

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Street Lighting Operative to join our dynamic Norfolk team at our Brooke Depot (NR151HJ). This role will be carried out around Norfolk.In this role, you will support the Norfolk Streetlighting account by carrying out regular inspections and maintenance of streetlights to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely. This involves identifying and addressing any damage or hazards that could compromise performance, cleaning equipment, and performing necessary repairs.The main role of the position will be night shift work carrying out visual checks on all street lighting to confirm confirm correct operation. During the months of April to September the role is split between night shift duties to check lighting and dayshift duties to carry out more detailed visual inspections or routine maintenance activities as required.What You''ll Do: Participate in Amey''s Annual Service Plan with Norfolk Council, ensuring streetlights are efficient and safe through maintenance and inspections, collaborating with various departments. Carry out routine maintenance and fault repair, including cleaning and changing lanterns and sign poles. Complete daily work records and risk assessments and perform high-demand physical tasks like digging. Ensure the security of plant, tools, materials, and IT equipment, and use vehicles safely.
