Strategic Remediation and Control Office (SRCO) leads Transformation and Remediation at Deutsche Bank. SRCO is responsible for the oversight of programs which contribute to the uplift of the firm0s capabilities across multiple lines of defense, working in partnership with global Businesses, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and Audit to ensure alignment of the portfolio of projects with groupwide strategic priorities and successful implementation of outcomes.You will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews and critical assessments of the design, implementation, and ongoing effectiveness of the organization0sanctions and embargoes risk framework, in areas such as Name List Screening (NLS), transaction screening, filtering, list management, and related sanctions controls. You will offer expert advice and guidance to executive stakeholders and the sanctions function on regulatory compliance, policy adequacy, and the management of complex investigations.What Well Offer You

Establishing and upholding rigorous standards for assurance and quality review in planning, execution, and assessment of regulatory initiativesExecute against a global framework for enhanced review and questioning of remediation delivery and outcomes, including overseeing and participating in comprehensive assurance and testing activities to assess the effectiveness of controlsLeverage experience in data management and data quality controls to underpin the integrity and effectiveness of assurance and questions related to screening and sanctions systemsDirectly managing and mentoring a high-performing teamIdentify/escalate key risks and control weaknesses detected within the sanctions lifecycle, advocating for necessary improvements and long-term remedial actionsPresent findings, issues, and recommendations from assurance reviews to senior leadership and the BoardYour Skills and Experience
Strong financial crime, sanctions risk and control mindsetPrior experience working with regulators, such as the Federal Reserve, and experience in executive messaging, reporting and communications for large-scale cross-divisional/regional regulatory programsBachelor0s degree or equivalent qualification/work experience, preferably with a focus on economics or businessPost-graduate qualification (e.g., CIA, CMIIA, CAMS) is preferredExtensive experience in the financial services industry within Third Line Internal Audit or Second Line Risk/Compliance Testing/Assurance with emphasis on sanctions and/or data governance/assuranceSignificant experience in risk managementHow Well Support You
