Strategic Head Of Capital Delivery Location: Hornton Street, W8 7NX Start Date: ASAP Contract Duration: 3+ Months 36 hours per week Working Hours: Mon Fri, 09 00 Pay Rate: £ 545.78 Per Day Job Ref: (phone number removed) Job Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership for the council s capital delivery programme Lead and oversee major capital projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards Set clear direction and governance for capital planning, project management, and delivery Manage senior stakeholders, including elected members, senior officers, and external partners Ensure compliance with council policies, statutory requirements, and best practice Drive continuous improvement across capital delivery processes Support organisational priorities, including equality, diversity, and inclusion commitments Person Specification Must-Have Requirements Significant senior-level experience in capital delivery or major project management Proven ability to lead large, complex programmes at a strategic level Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills Recognised qualification in project management or a related discipline Eligibility to work in the UK Ability to attend an in-person interview Nice-to-Have Requirements Experience working within a local authority or public sector environment Knowledge of capital governance frameworks and public sector regulations Experience operating at director or ..... full job details .....
