Length: 6 months initially
IR35 status: Inside
Rate: £500 per day via an umbrella company
Venn Group is currently recruiting for an Interim Strategic Finance Manager, with advanced analytical, problem-solving and financial modelling expertise to support key projects within Adult Social Care and Commissioning services.
Responsibilities
Provide financial analysis, scenario modelling and evidence-based insights to support decision-making and respond to changes
Lead financial reviews and appraisals of key projects to ensure value for money and recommend viable delivery options
Assess affordability, financial risks and value for money of services and projects, providing strategic insights and plans to optimise outcomes
Advise on procurement, contracts and commercial decisions, identifying savings and supporting supplier sustainability
Oversee financial reporting, planning, budget control and capital programme management
Manage year-end processes and closure of accounts to deliver compliant, timely Statements of Accounts
Analyse financial data and trends to identify risks and pressures, recommending mitigation actions
Support succession planning and foster a collaborative team culture to build resilience and share knowledge
Qualifications
Proven experience operating within a Local Authority setting
Strong knowledge of Adult Social Care and commissioning service areas
Demonstratable background in financial analysis and modelling
