Strategic Finance Manager Adecco are recruiting on behalf of the a Local Authority for an experienced Strategic Finance Manager to join their Finance Service. Barking Town Hall, Barking £69,984 - £76,005 per annum 35 hours per week Hybrid Working - 3 days office based Permanent This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional to play a key role in shaping the Council''s long-term financial strategy, supporting major transformation programmes, and ensuring sound financial governance across a large and complex organisation. The Role As Strategic Finance Manager, you will provide strategic financial leadership and expert advice to senior stakeholders, helping to drive informed decision-making, financial sustainability, and value for money across Council services. You will lead financial planning, reporting, compliance, and performance management activities while supporting corporate priorities and service transformation initiatives. Key responsibilities will include: Leading the development and implementation of financial strategies aligned to the Council''s objectives. Providing strategic financial advice to Directors, Heads of Service, and elected Members. Overseeing budget setting, medium-term financial planning, forecasting, and financial reporting. Leading annual accounts closure processes and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and legislation.
