Jackson Hogg Procurement division are excited to be partnering with a North Tyneside based manufacturing organisation on the appointment of a Strategic Buyer to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis! Salary on offer is 43-47k depending on experience. In this role as Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of sourcing strategies across defined commodity areas, ensuring cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and supplier performance. Working cross-functionally, you will contribute to delivering value through effective supplier management, cost reduction initiatives and robust procurement process aligned to business objectives, while building the capability to progress in to a Commodity Leader role. The Role Support the development and execution of commodity strategies aligned to business and purchasing objectives Manage sourcing activities within assigned commodity areas, ensuring cost, quality and delivery targets are met Lead supplier selection and negotiations for assigned projects, with support on complex strategic agreements Conduct supplier performance management, including KPI tracking, reviews, and development plans Support supplier risk assessments and contribute to mitigation strategies Deliver cost reduction and value improvement ..... full job details .....
