Stores OperativeLocation: LongstantonHours: 48 hours per weekDepartment: Direct LabourReporting to: Yard SupervisorRole OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and proactive Stores Operative to join our clients team. This role is responsible for the safe receipt, storage, control and dispatch of materials within the yard and warehouse environment.The successful candidate will help ensure stock accuracy, maintain a tidy and secure yard, and uphold high standards of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesUnload deliveries, check materials against documentation and store correctlyLoad outgoing vehicles, ensuring materials match relevant paperworkRecord all stock movements accurately using stock control systemsFile and maintain materials movement documentationCarry out periodic stock checks and assist with inventory controlRecord issue and receipt of plant equipment and liaise with relevant teamsMonitor and report any unauthorised removal of materials or access to the yardMaintain yard security and general organisationDispose of waste in line with company proceduresEnsure materials are stored safely and in good conditionIdentify and suggest improvements to storage and operational processesMaintain awareness of utilities shut-off points and fire prevention systemsWork collaboratively with colleagues to support operational objectivesReport low or excess stock levels to procurementSkills and ExperienceConscientious and able to work with minimal supervisionStrong ..... full job details .....
