Location: Andover Rate: c. 13.50 per hour (dependent on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (40 hours per week) Contract: Temporary - to - permanent Training: Full training provided where requiredAbout the RoleWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stores Operative to play a key role in our supply chain operations. This position is critical in supporting our gas control and measurement customers by ensuring the efficient flow of materials and accurate stock control from receipt through to dispatch.Working largely independently, you will take ownership of day-to-day stores activities, including material preparation and stock management. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to continue or develop a career within the fabrication and engineering sector.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, unload, and inspect incoming deliveries, checking for damage and discrepancies against purchase ordersAccurately book in stock and allocate items to designated storage locationsPick, pack, and dispatch goods for internal assembly teams and external customers, ensuring 100% accuracyPrepare shipping paperwork and liaise with couriers to ensure timely collectionsProvide material preparation support when requiredMaintain the T-Card system to give clear, visual oversight of job status, stock locations, and progressCarry out regular stock counts and perpetual inventory checksIdentify and report low stock levels or shortages to the purchasing teamSafely operate a ..... full job details .....
