Role: Stores Operator

Location: Gloucester

Duration: 12 months

Rate: £18 per hour days, £23.40 for nights

Holidays: 33 days per annumm (inclusive of bank holidays)

Shift Patterns: Mon-Thurs 9pm-6:30am

Overview

Contract opportunity for an experienced Stores / Inventory Operator to join a busy aerospace manufacturing site in Gloucester.

Key duties:

• Receive, locate and issue parts and materials across multiple store locations
• Maintain accurate stock records, traceability, labelling and shelf-life control
• Pick and kit parts for sales and works orders (including Prop Kits, FIFO, de-kitting)
• Carry out stock transfers, cycle counts and perpetual inventory checks
• Support goods-in and despatch as required
• Use computerised stock systems (Oracle R12 experience a plus)

Requirements:

• Previous stores / inventory control experience
• Manufacturing background (aerospace preferred)
• Confident with stock control systems and shop floor documentation
• Strong attention to detail, organised, able to prioritise and question when needed
