Location: Widnes
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm
Contract: 6-month initial term - potential to extend.

Rullion is recruiting for experienced Stores Operatives / Logistics Operators to join our client''s Central Logistics Hub in Widnes.

Working as part of the logistics team, you will support the safe, accurate and efficient movement of materials across the full warehouse process, including goods in, storage, stock control, picking, packing and despatch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload and inspect incoming materials, checking quantities and documentation.
  • Accurately process materials through ERP/SAP systems, including part numbers and serialised stock where required.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels, locations and records, including regular PI audits and stock checks.
  • Pick, pack, label and issue materials accurately against customer and depot requirements.
  • Prepare and load outbound goods, ensuring materials are correctly secured for transit.
  • Arrange courier collections and maintain transport documentation and Proofs of Delivery.
  • Operate MHE safely and in accordance with procedures, risk assessments and manual handling requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of 5S, housekeeping, safety and warehouse organisation.
  • Ensure materials, including COSHH and safety-critical stock, are stored correctly and safely.
  • Report safety, quality, cost, stock and service issues to the appropriate management team.
  • Support internal audits covering quality, EHS, 5S and warehouse standards.
  • Work closely with engineering, materials planning, quality, depot teams, suppliers and customers to resolve material issues.

About You

You''ll ideally have:

  • Previous warehouse, stores or logistics experience, preferably within manufacturing, engineering or a similar environment.
  • Good IT skills, including Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook and SAP/ERP systems.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and Quality requirements.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • A customer-focused, adaptable and conscientious approach.
  • The ability to work independently and build effective professional relationships.

Railway or heavy engineering experience and previous SAP experience within a warehouse environment would be advantageous.

Desirable Licences

The following qualifications/licences would be beneficial:

  • Counterbalance FLT - B1, B2 and B3
  • Articulated Fork Truck
  • Crane Driving
  • Very Narrow Aisle (VNA)
  • Stacker / Powered Pallet Truck

GCSE Maths and English, or equivalent relevant knowledge and experience, is required.
