Stores Operative LE8 Day shiftsDriving license Position Overview:The role involves managing the flow of goods from receiving deliveries through to preparing and dispatching orders while maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring all warehouse/stores operations run smoothly and safely.Main Duties and Responsibilities Goods Handling: Accept and verify incoming deliveries, checking quantities and quality before accurately logging them in the company s ERP or stock system. Stock Management: Organise and store materials in the correct locations to maintain order and accessibility across the warehouse. Order Preparation: Pick, pack, and prepare goods for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and adherence to delivery deadlines. Inventory Control: Keep all stock information up to date, assist with regular cycle counts, and support periodic inventory audits. Equipment Operation: Use warehouse machinery such as pallet trucks and forklifts safely and efficiently (training available if required). Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain a tidy, well-organised workspace and ensure all activities comply with company health and safety standards. Problem Solving: Report damaged, missing, or incorrect stock promptly and assist in investigating and resolving discrepancies. Collaboration: Support process improvements and provide assistance to other departments when workloads require flexibility.
