About the Role
Pertemps Telford Commercial is seeking a Stores Operative for a full-time, temporary position based in Telford. Working closely with the existing Storekeeper, this role involves unloading deliveries, checking goods against documentation, and booking items into the system. The postholder will organise stock across the shop floor, handling items ranging from small components to larger materials. Candidates require a valid Counterbalance FLT licence. This position offers £14.00 per hour and runs from 11th May until the end of July. Duties include moving goods efficiently through the business during a busy period. ERP system experience is preferred.

Pertemps are currently looking for a reliable and hands-on Stores Operative to support our busy stores team over the coming months.
This is a fast-paced and varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll be working closely with our existing Storekeeper to keep goods moving efficiently through the business during a particularly busy period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unloading deliveries and checking goods against delivery notes
- Booking goods into the system (ERP experience preferred)
- Moving and organising stock within stores and across the shop floor
- Handling a wide range of items – from small components (nuts, bolts, fittings) to large machined parts and fabrications
- Kitting parts for production
- Packing and preparing orders for dispatch
- Occasional local collections from suppliers
- Valid Counterbalance forklift licence (7T preferred, 3.5T minimum)
- Previous stores/warehouse experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- PC literate with experience using ERP systems (Epicor desirable but not essential)
- Comfortable working in a physically active, fast-moving environment
- Flexible and willing to support overtime when required - Time 1/2 Saturdays / Double Time Sundays
