Pertemps Gloucester are recruiting for a Stores Operative to join a growing and well-invested manufacturing business in Tewkesbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced warehouse or stores professional looking to join a busy team with long-term career prospects. You''ll be responsible for managing goods in and goods out, maintaining accurate stock records, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the stores department. Forklift experience is desirable, but training can be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage goods in and goods out processes
  
  
• Operate a forklift truck safely (training available)
  
  
• Maintain accurate stock records and inventory levels
  
  
• Carry out stock checks and support stock takes
  
  
• Correctly code, track, and issue materials
  
  
• Support dispatch activities and goods collections
  
  
• Follow health & safety procedures and maintain a tidy working environment
  
  
• Assist with general warehouse operations as required

About You

• Previous warehouse or stores experience
  
  
• Strong goods in, goods out, and stock control knowledge
  
  
• Manufacturing or production environment experience preferred
  
  
• Forklift licence advantageous but not essential
  
  
• Good IT skills and experience using stock systems
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  
  
• A proactive, reliable team player with a positive attitude
