Stores Operative

Our client, a growing aerospace manufacturing organisation, is seeking a Stores Operative to support its expanding production operations. This permanent role will suit an organised and reliable stores professional with manufacturing experience and a strong understanding of inventory control, goods receiving and stock handling.Key Responsibilities:Receive, inspect and store incoming goods accurately through the Goods Inwards processProcess goods receipt documentation, including scanning, and resolve booking-in issues with the purchasing teamEnsure non-stock orders are delivered to the relevant individualsLabel, pack and store stock correctly to prevent contamination, damage and misidentificationPick work orders in line with picking lists, maintaining excellent accuracyCarry out loading, unloading, sorting, cleaning and stock movement activities within the stores areaMaintain a clean, safe and organised stores area and yard, with stock located appropriatelyMonitor stock accuracy, report discrepancies to the Logistics Manager and support packaging waste managementJob Requirements:Proven experience as a Stores Operative within a manufacturing environmentBasic computer literacy and numeracy skillsBasic Microsoft Excel skills, including finding and updating information in data tablesUnderstanding of ERP or MRP systems for processing inventory movementsKnowledge of goods-in processes and stock control proceduresAbility to follow manual handling guidelines and use suitable lifting ..... full job details .....
