A Stores Operative is responsible for managing the storage, handling, and distribution of goods and materials within the main stores in our headquarters at Shoreham Technical Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving Goods:
- Check and inspect goods received.
- Ensure they are of accurate quantity, type, and quality.
- Issuing Stock:
- Pick and distribute materials to Ricardo staff.
- Keep records of items issued.
- Inventory Control:
- Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies in SAP when necessary.
- Conduct regular stock counts and audits.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain documentation for deliveries, stock movements, and inventory levels.
- Use stock control ERP software
- Equipment Operation:
- Operate forklifts, pallet pump trucks, or other material handling equipment.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in warehousing, logistics, or inventory management.
- Forklift License
- Proficient in SAP
- Familiar with shipping tools such as DHL & FedEx.
- An understanding of customs clearance would be beneficial
