A Stores Operative is responsible for managing the storage, handling, and distribution of goods and materials within the main stores in our headquarters at Shoreham Technical Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Receiving Goods:
  • Check and inspect goods received.
  • Ensure they are of accurate quantity, type, and quality.
  1. Issuing Stock:
  • Pick and distribute materials to Ricardo staff.
  • Keep records of items issued.
  1. Inventory Control:
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies in SAP when necessary.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and audits.
  1. Record Keeping:
  • Maintain documentation for deliveries, stock movements, and inventory levels.
  • Use stock control ERP software
  1. Equipment Operation:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet pump trucks, or other material handling equipment.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in warehousing, logistics, or inventory management.
  • Forklift License
  • Proficient in SAP
  • Familiar with shipping tools such as DHL & FedEx.
  • An understanding of customs clearance would be beneficial
