Stores Manager Clacton-on-Sea 30,000 - 35,000 About the CompanyOur client is a well-established, UK-based designer and manufacturer of bespoke engineering equipment, supplying customers across the food, drink, cosmetics and pharmaceutical sectors worldwide. As the business prepares to move into a new facility, they are looking to bring in a Stores Manager to take full ownership of the stores function and put a more structured system in place. The RoleThis is a newly created position, driven by the upcoming move to the new site. You''ll take a currently manual stores setup and manage it end-to-end, with the scope to shape processes as the business transitions into the new facility. This is a process-ownership role rather than a people-management one. Key responsibilities include:Controlling stock levels across all parts and componentsProcessing orders for components used in machine builds, spares, and service workManaging all incoming goods and the associated paperworkPreparing spares kits ahead of scheduled service jobsBuilding and maintaining supplier relationships, including negotiating pricing and lead timesIntroducing a kanban-style system to manage stock and parts Supporting the digitalisation of stores processes as the business moves to the new facility About YouExperience in a stores, inventory or parts management role, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environmentComfortable managing a function independently, with strong organisational skillsConfident ..... full job details .....
