Stores Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced and organised Stores Supervisor / Stores Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy stores department for a 6 month fixed term contract, covering a maternity leave.This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with strong inventory management and team leadership experience to join a growing manufacturing/engineering environment. Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and support the daily running of the stores department, including picking, deliveries, and issuing parts to production teamsManage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock control at all timesEnsure the timely receipt, storage, and distribution of materials to productionMaintain accurate stock records using ERP and inventory management systemsLiaise with Engineering teams to resolve Bills of Materials (BOM) issuesWork closely with Production teams to resolve delivery and material supply issuesCarry out regular stock counts and cycle countsInvestigate and reconcile stock variancesSupervise and support a team of 3 StorekeepersEnsure compliance with Health and Safety and environmental regulations within the stores areaAttend Health and Safety meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesManage material changes and amendments to ordersOversee forklift maintenance, including arranging servicing and repairsResolve supplier invoice queries efficientlyAssist with recruitment and onboarding of new staff memberExperience RequiredPrevious experience in a ..... full job details .....
