The Logistics Operative is responsible for ensuring the operational safety of major equipment and systems, managing all materials safely and efficiently in compliance with Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), authorised quality procedures, risk assessments, manual handling protocols, and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations. Accurate and timely record-keeping is essential. Key Responsibilities: Conduct activities related to the safe receipt, storage, maintenance, and issue of materiel in line with local and central health and safety policies. Utilise Logistics Information Systems (Log IS) to select stock for issue or receipt and prepare all necessary documentation. Prepare shipping containers by stuffing and de-stuffing to ensure timely delivery, including completion of relevant consignment paperwork.
