Our client in Thatcham is seeking a reliable and motivated Stores Controller to support their busy warehouse operations.

This full-time, temp-to-perm role offers a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to secure a long-term position with a growing company.

You’ll work closely with the Senior Stores Controller, taking responsibility for managing stock supplies, carrying out quality checks, and handling all inbound and outbound materials. Shift:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 40 hours per week

Pay:

  • £536 per week

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Efficiently pick jobs for customers and dispatch
  • Storing and rotating stock according to established procedures
  • Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers or Supervisors
  • Updating and maintaining the stock control system, including labelling stock
  • Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment
  • Assisting with warehouse inventory controls
  • Evaluate incoming materials, extrusions and components from suppliers to ensure they meet the required quality standards before use in production. (Measure and confirm dimensions are correct using basic technical drawings)
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality
  • Identify defects or non-conformities in materials, powder coating, components, or finished products and document findings for QC manager
  • Administrative and operational responsibilities may be required from time to time such as holiday cover for colleagues.
  • Occasional site work may be required, including deliveries of stores material to site on occasion.

Essential Requirements:

  • Forklift licence – Counterbalance
  • Full clean Driving Licence
