Job Title: Stores Controller

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain safe, secure, and efficient storage facilities for all materials.
- Manage and develop stock control systems to maintain optimal stock levels and specifications.
- Process material requisitions and manage the flow of goods in and out of stores.
- Lead and coordinate periodic and annual stocktakes, reporting results and improvements.
- Utilise company information systems to monitor stock, record transactions, and produce reports.
- Identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, and implement solutions.
- Support the development of departmental plans and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Provide guidance and leadership to colleagues where required.
- Maintain accurate records in line with business assurance procedures.
- Promote a safe working environment and uphold company values at all times.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience in purchasing, supply chain management, or logistics within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of operational cost control.
- Excellent IT skills, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
- Knowledge of Sage Line 100 or Sage 200.
- Awareness of health and safety in a workplace setting.
- Understanding of change management principles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with diverse teams.
- CIPS Level 3 qualification (desirable).
- Forklift licence (desirable).
