Materials Assistant
Location: Corby
Pay Rate: -13.45ph
Due to continued growth and ongoing investment in the business, our client based in Corby is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Materials Assistant to join its successful and expanding team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with stock checks and inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy.
- Receive incoming goods, book stock into the system, and store materials in accordance with company procedures.
- Pick and pack component parts for production orders.
- Prepare and package sales orders for dispatch.
- Arrange courier collections and support the timely shipment of customer orders.
- Maintain accurate stock records and support inventory control activities.
- Assist the wider Materials team as required.
- Work towards departmental and company KPI objectives.
- Ensure all duties are carried out in line with quality, health and safety, and company procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience within a Stores, Warehouse, Materials, or Inventory environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy when counting and handling components.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively and manage multiple tasks.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- A proactive and hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and develop a strong understanding of products, systems, and processes following training.
- Good manual dexterity and eyesight to work with small components.
