Stores and Parts Specialist - Fire and Rescue

Location: GloucesterDepartment: WorkshopPurpose of the role:To ensure the highest quality of work. Dealing with all goods and products that come into the warehouse. Daily tasks would include receiving and storing goods correctly. Picking and packing goods for customers and external engineers. Inputting computer data for our daily collections. Identifying specialist parts and ordering as required. Maintain at all times the "Goods In" and "Goods Out" process. Responsibilities:Loading and unloading of goods and supplies.Check for damage or missing items.Store goods appropriately.Move stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift truck.Input data regarding stock and inventory into a computerised system.Carry out stock counts as and when required.Pick and pack deliveries correctly for customers and external engineers.Ensure all goods are shipped damaged free to the correct destination.Keep paperwork up to date.Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency.Manage stock levels.Carry out routine stock checks.Assist with parts identification from suppliers.Assist with the depo Health and Safety monthly inspections.Manage the LOLER, Calibrations and PAT testing for the site and mobile engineers.Critical Skills Required:Communications skills, both verbal and in writing.Responsive to a fast paced Warehouse environment.The ability to work to tight deadlines, under pressure and with a sense of urgency.Excellent organisation and prioritising skills. ..... full job details .....
