Location: Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire
Salary: £16.50 – £17.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Type: Ongoing / Temp to Perm

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and organised Storeman on behalf of our client, a well-established property maintenance company based in Bishop’s Stortford. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a motivated individual to support their busy operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking, and booking in deliveries

• Issuing materials, tools, and equipment to operatives

• Maintaining accurate stock records

• Organising and keeping the stores area clean, tidy, and safe

• Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages

• Coordinating with site teams and management

• Assisting with general yard and stores duties as required

Requirements

• Previous experience in a stores / warehouse / storeperson role (construction or maintenance preferred)

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Basic IT skills for stock control systems

• Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)

• Valid UK driving licence (must be able to drive a van)
