Job Category: Retail Store ManagerWhat you''ll be doing: Our Convenience Store Managers have full control over their shop. They are accountable leaders who ensure we deliver on our purpose to make good food, joyful, accessible and affordable for everyone, every day. Their team of Customer and Trading Managers run the shifts and plan for upcoming trading activity, being commercially minded and anticipating issues from today to six months from now, making sure everything is safe and legal. Retail is ever evolving with new business initiatives and change programmes and there are always difficult decisions to be made. It is a job with a lot of responsibility but also highly rewarding.Responsibilities
Leading in our stores: drive the business with bold leadership, a passion for service and an eye for opportunity. Empower teams to raise the bar every day for customers, focusing on product availability, safety standards, and seamless daily operations.Ensure high-quality customer experiences and continuously strive to improve the customer journey.Lead in-store teams with accountability for delivering customer, financial and organisational outcomes; role model excellent service and business values through managers and colleagues.Use data and insight to inform planning, improve performance and customer experience and/or KPIs.Manage HR matters with confidence, including ER cases and understanding/interpreting HR policies.Lead change and deliver engagement while managing team wellbeing.Qualifications
