Stock Control/Procurement Manager

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for an experienced Stock Control / Procurement Manager for a leading Leicestershire based food manufacturerThis is a permanent position direct with our clientPLEASE NOTE: This is not a solely Warehouse based Stock Control position - it will be office based and you will be contacting suppliers directlyThe Job: Managing all raw material and packaging stocksOptimise raw material inventory levelsEnsure all raw materials and packaging meet the required food safety standardSupport NPD in sourcing new raw materialsManage and develop supplier relationshipsControl company spend on raw materials within set targets. Key Tasks: Their stock systems currently use excel spreadsheets so it will be updating and maintaining various recordsMaintain and improve the raw material forecast.Optimise raw material inventory levels (ensure availability for production, without overstocking).Check stock levels regularly and address inventory discrepancies.Place orders to replenish stocks.Compare items received and invoices against items ordered and pricing.Work with the Production team to ensure materials are available to deliver the production plan.Work with the Technical team to ensure all raw materials and packaging are purchased from approved suppliers in accordance with relevant food safety legislation.Manage and develop supplier relationships, evaluate supplier pricing and negotiations.Liaise with the NPD team in relation to introducing new raw ..... full job details .....
