Stock Controller

Are you a Stock Controller, Materials Coordinator or Buyer who likes a role where you can actually get stuck in and make a difference?Escape''s client is looking to appoint an organised, analytical Stock Controller to take ownership of packaging stock for a busy manufacturing site.You will work closely with Production, Planning, Site Management and suppliers to make sure the right packaging is in the right place, at the right time and you will also be out in the warehouse checking stock, investigating discrepancies and making sure everything is where it should be. Responsibilities of the role:Managing packaging and raw material stock levels, including min/max levels and stock availabilityUsing Excel to analyse stock, usage, costs, waste and trendsWorking from production plans to ensure packaging is ordered in timeRaising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers on orders, deliveries and lead timesPlanning ahead for seasonal demand and supplier shutdownsMonitoring obsolete and excess stock and looking for opportunities to reduce costsInvestigating stock discrepancies and resolving issues quicklyCarrying out month-end stock counts and regular cycle countsExperience and Knowledge required for the role:You will ideally have previous stock control, materials, inventory or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.Very comfortable with Excel - formulas, lookups, pivot tables and working with data from different sourcesNumerate, analytical and very detail ..... full job details .....
