Grounds Maintenance Operative - Ongoing Temp Role (Potential Temp to Perm)Location: Stevenage (and surrounding areas)Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to FridayPay Rate: 13.45 per hourContract: Ongoing temporary with potential to become permanentThe RoleWe are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join a busy Street Scene / Grounds team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with relevant experience looking for ongoing, stable work with the potential to secure a permanent position.You will be responsible for carrying out a variety of grounds maintenance and street scene duties, delivering high standards across public spaces and facilities.Key DutiesGrass cutting and general grounds maintenancePruning, hedge cutting and soft landscapingTree work support and vegetation controlSports pitch marking and upkeepCemetery duties (including grave preparation)Operating machinery such as mowers, tractors and sweepersEnsuring tools, equipment and vehicles are safely used and maintainedCompleting basic records and checksWorking safely in line with health and safety regulationsRequirements Full manual driving licence - essentialPrevious grounds maintenance or related outdoor work experience - essentialAbility to operate machinery/tools (training can be provided)Strong understanding of health and safety practicesPhysically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditionsAble to work independently and as part of a teamWhat''s on Offer 13.45 per ..... full job details .....
