Location: Darlington / Tees Vally region

This is an excellent opportunity to join a global and market leading organisation in a new MSAT Sterile Technical Specialist appointment. As the Sterile Technical visual inspection Specialist lead you will be responsible for managing and delivering the visual inspection portfolio, including the development and validation of both inspection and leak detection equipment. Additionally, this role involves developing manual visual inspection processes, including the training and qualification of manual visual inspectors.

Key Areas

  • Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotech/ Biochem/ Chemical Engineering / Process Engineering / Science based manufacturing
  • Sterile Technical environment experience
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management business processes
  • High level of stakeholder management, interpersonal / communications skills
  • High speed manufacturing within a controlled environment

Role Responsibilities

  • Serve as the expert on visual inspection and leak detection issues, offering specialised knowledge in this field.
  • Maintain knowledge of innovative technology and best practices for visual inspection and leak detection.
  • Coach and mentor Technologists and others working in wider technical teams, engineering teams, and quality functions.
  • Continually monitor and assess process capabilities using data to enhance inspection technical process capability.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of the MVI and LD processes and equipment, and understand how these processes interact with other operations on site
  • Establish and implement standards and procedures to ensure compliance with Quality and EHS regulatory standards.
  • Ensure day-to-day technical issues are resolved urgently to minimise impact on project(s)/product performance or reject/waste levels
  • analyses, undertake self-audits & development reviews

  • Degree:- Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotech/ Biochem/ Chemical Engineering / Process Engineering / Science based manufacturing
  • Strong communication skills
  • High standard of analytical and technical problem-solving skills
  • Well organised & driven
