Steel Fixers - Plymouth, Devonport - PL1 4SGVGC Group are seeking Steel Fixers to join a great team on a Major Infrastructure Project in Devonport, Plymouth. This contract is available to start in Jan/Feb of 2027 subject to BPSS Vetting.Role: Steel FixerLocation: PlymouthSalary: £24.26per hour, 1.5 x rate after 39 hours in a week, 1.5 x rate first 4 hours on a saturday, 2 x rate rest of the weekend. Hours: 10 hour ShiftsShift Pattern: (phone number removed) shifts starting in February 2027Contract: Full timeDuration: 4 years +Benefits: 31 days holiday per year, training and upskilling provided if relevant to role, pension, £3 a day brief allowanceSubsistence: - Lodge available at £53.69 per night for anyone living over 50 miles from site.- Daily Travel allowance available for any operative not on lodge commuting more than 9 miles (in line with CIJC) Experience: 3 years + in Major Civils or RC FramesQuals:- CSCS Blue NVQ Level 2 Steelfixing- Previous Civil Engineering Experience- Safety Critical Medical (Can be arranged for you)Please apply via link provided You must provide proof of right to work in UK and pass a drugs and alcohol test upon induction.VGC Group is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.
