Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Steel Fixer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and fixing steel reinforcement bars in concrete structures, ensuring the integrity and safety of our building projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality projects across commercial and industrial sites, with a focus on safety and precision.Responsibilities Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical plans to determine the placement of reinforcement steel.Measure, cut, bend, and assemble steel reinforcement bars using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as necessary.Fix steel bars securely in position using appropriate fastening methods, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.Assist with the transportation and positioning of heavy steel components around the site.Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters to ensure seamless integration of reinforcement within the construction process.Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.Perform routine inspections of steelwork for quality assurance before concrete pouring.Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with reinforcement installation or related equipment.
