They will work from technical drawings to accurately position, align, and secure steelwork while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities Interpret engineering drawings, site plans, and technical specifications. Measure, mark out, and prepare steel components for installation. Install structural steel beams, columns, staircases, balustrades, platforms, and architectural metalwork. Align, level, and secure steelwork using bolts, welding, and fixing systems. Operate lifting equipment, MEWPs, telehandlers, and cranes safely (where certified). Use hand and power tools including grinders, drills, impact wrenches, and cutting equipment. Carry out site modifications to steel components where required. Work alongside welders, fabricators, crane operators, and site management to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
