Overview:
A well-established company operating in the rail, highways, and construction sectors is seeking a Structural Steel/Bridge Estimator to join their team. This role is suited to an individual with strong experience in the steelwork industry, who is looking to contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects. The Estimator will work closely with the Sales and Estimating team and will play a key role in preparing detailed quotations and managing client communications.
Key Responsibilities:

Reviews engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities to assess project requirements.

Prepares and submits competitive quotations in line with project specifications, including value engineering where appropriate.

Issues revised estimates in response to design or scheme changes.

Communicates effectively with contractors, engineers, architects, suppliers, and internal departments.

Utilises internal systems such as SAP and CRM tools to manage estimates and project data.

Reviews contract documentation upon order confirmation and issues acknowledgements outlining agreed terms.

Works collaboratively with senior management to evaluate project opportunities and maximise value.

Undertakes other duties as reasonably required by management.
Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years'' experience in a similar estimating role.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.

Confident in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

Primarily office-based, with occasional site visits as required.
