Steel Erector (Minimum 6-Month Fixed Term Contract) with potential to be permanent Salary: £34,000 - £39,000 per annumPosition: Steel Erector Contract Length: Minimum 6 months (to cover absence due to illness) Location: High Wycombe, travelling to various project locations HOURS: 08:00-17:00 Monday - Thursday and 07:00 - 16:00 FridaysWe are seeking an experienced Steel Erector who can not only deliver high-quality on-site installation work but also take responsibility for managing day-to-day activities on site. This 6-month fixed-term role is to provide cover while a permanent team member is recovering from illness but could be extended. The successful candidate must be capable of working independently, coordinating tasks, and ensuring smooth progress across multiple stages of steel erection.Key ResponsibilitiesErect structural steel frames, beams, columns, and associated componentsRead and interpret fabrication drawings and site plansWork collaboratively with site supervisors, crane operators, and fabrication teamsInstall bolted connections, bracing, and secondary steelworkOperate lifting equipment, hand tools, and power tools safelyMaintain high standards of site safety and housekeepingAdapt to changing project requirements and assist with on-site problem-solvingRequirementsProven experience as a steel erector on commercial or industrial projectsStrong understanding of structural steel installation and site safetyPhysically fit and comfortable with manual handling ..... full job details .....
